Hi 👋! My name is Rossana, I'm Italian and I have been living in London for the last ten years. Before moving to London I travelled all over the world, which instilled in me a lifelong love of languages, I speak Italian (obviously), English, and Russian.
During my university years, I was introduced to coding, and while I loved using HTML and CSS, I felt limited by the language's constraints. This motivated me to broaden my knowledge to create more engaging websites, which led me to enrol in an immersive Software Engineering Course at General Assembly. This experience is allowing me to make a complete career shift and pursue development as a profession.
I'm passionate about diversifying the world of tech and building things for the web, and I'm looking for a full-time role as a Software Developer in a stimulating environment where I can grow professionally within a collaborative team.
In my free time, you'll find me practising Calisthenics. This is definitely my medicine for keeping myself healthy and happy. Committing to Calisthenics has helped me to build habits and consistency.
Solo project - 1.5 weeks
Calisthenics is a booking app and the user can book classes of the day through the calendar. It is a full-stack app built from scratch using Python and Django to serve data from PostgreSQL database, which was then consumed by React.js app.
Group project - 1 week
With this travelling app, the user can take some inspiration depending on the weather around the world. It is a full-stack app built using an Express API to serve data from a Mongo Database and consumed by React.js app.
Group project - 36 hours
In this hackathon we built a React app using the Harvard Museum API. I worked mainly on the React side, fetching data from the external API.
Solo project - 1 week
First solo project built in vanilla JavaScript. I chose the game Snake as I was a huge fan of this game when I was a kid.
